A patch recently surfaced on eBay (pictured below) for Camp Rondack. I do not believe that this was from the Camp Rondack at TMR (circa 1945-1976). Based on other items from the seller and some time with our friend Google, I believe this is from a private girls camp located near Sarnac Lake, NY.
Can anyone confirm my suspicion?Â
I’m sure you’ve already gotten your answer since this has been posted for about nine months. But, just in case you haven’t, you are correct. There was a Camp Rondack for Girls on Schroon Lake, in Upstate NY. I spent five wonderful summers there between 1967 and 1971. There was another camp adjacent to this camp, called Camp Ronwood for Boys. I don’t know when the camp opened, but it closed in 1972 when it was purchased by a Christian camp, possibly called “Word of Life”.
Hi-
I have a number of original Camp Rondack pins. You got one for every year you were there. I have mine as well as my mothers. Is anyone interested in purchasing them?

Small correction. Camp Rondack at TMR closed after the 1973 season. I was the last commissary manager there.
It opened in 1974 when I was on staff at Family Camp, but closed partway through the season (after 4-5 weeks I think). It opened in both 1975 and 1976 as a Webelos Camp (separate Program areas and Waterfront, meals at the Keowa Dining Hall). I was the Waterfront Director there in 1976 and lived in the lean-to next to the Protestant Chapel.
